TY\u00d6V\u00c4EN MUSIIKKITAPAHTUMA<\/h3>

(WORKERS’ MUSIC FESTIVAL)<\/h3>

Workers’ Music Festival will take place in Valkeakoski. The 53-year-old multi-arts festival surprises with its relaxed atmosphere and its program covering different musical styles. In addition to top artists, there will be high-quality mix of working-class culture, alternative music, free program for children and the elderly, stage poetry, group singing, and TMT Talk \u2013 social and topical discussion sessions. This year we are honoured to host the Finnish National Air Guitar Championship competition finals.<\/p>

Ty\u00f6v\u00e4en Musiikkitapahtuma ry is a non-profit cultural association that produces music and cultural events, maintains Kirjaslampi dance stage and engages in producing activities.<\/p>

+ TRANSPORTATION<\/h3>

Valkeakoski is located in southern Pirkanmaa, about 30 kilometers away from Tampere, with excellent transport connections. Most of the bus routes between Tampere and Helsinki go through Valkeakoski. The festival area is located in the city center, in the immediate vicinity of the bus station. The nearest train station is about 20 kilometers away in Toijala.<\/p>

You can use Nysse buses from Tampere to Valkeakoski. Needed zones for the bus ticket are ABC. For Ty\u00f6v\u00e4en Musiikkitapahtuma, the schedule of the night buses will be updated on this page later in 2026. As usual, free night buses to Tampere will depart from just outside the event area after the final performance. In addition, a discount on travel tickets is available for those traveling in the direction of Helsinki and H\u00e4meenlinna.<\/p>

Bank or credit card. Cash can be taken at separately announced cash registers.<\/p>

+ FOOD AND DRINKS<\/h3>\n

The festival offers a wide variety of snacks from tasty food portions to sweet treats. In addition, there are numerous cafes and restaurants in the center of Valkeakoski. Alcoholic drinks are sold in the festival area. Bringing your own alcoholic beverages into the area is not allowed. You can bring your own water bottle as an unopened, transparent, and max. 1\/2 liter plastic bottle.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Everyone has the right to enjoy the event in peace. No one should be treated poorly based on personal characteristics such as age, gender, sexual orientation, size, skin color, ability to function, health, wealth, language, religion, culture, or any other background.<\/p>

We notice each other’s different boundaries and respect them.<\/p>

Nobody may be touched without permission or subjected to verbal, non-verbal, or physical harassment.<\/p>

Safety is done together.<\/p>

If you experience or witness harassment, discrimination or other inappropriate behavior, please contact the event staff. If your own actions offend others, be open to listening and adjusting your behavior.<\/p>

If someone does not follow the principles of a safer space or continues to offend others despite a warning, the staff has the right to remove them from the event.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

+ SUSTAINABILITY<\/h3>

Ty\u00f6v\u00e4en Musiikkitapahtuma bears its responsibility for the environment.<\/p>

Here is a list of things that you, as a festival guest, can do for our common environment:<\/p>

– Prefer public transport, carpooling and cycling<\/p>

– Please use the portable toilets and urinals in the festival area<\/p>

– Always take your trash to the recycling bins<\/p>

\u2013 Recycle! Please make sure that your garbage ends up at the appropriate collection points<\/p>

– When you return your can to the deposit point, you get 1\u20ac refund<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

+ SECURITY AND PROHIBITED ITEMS<\/h3>

You may not bring your own alcoholic beverages, animals, or objects classified as dangerous to the event area. Umbrellas and picnic chairs must be left in the luggage storage upon arrival. Disposable raincoats are for sale in the area.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

+ FOUND GOODS<\/h3>

Found goods are delivered to the event office at 12:00 the day after each event day.<\/p>

Unclaimed lost items will be delivered to the Valkeakoski police station (Apiankatu 5) immediately after the event.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

+ SMOKING<\/h3>

In the festival area, smoking is allowed in specially marked areas. Smoking is prohibited in the tents and in the immediate vicinity of the performance stages!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

+ PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING<\/h3>

Video and audio recording and commercial filming of performances is prohibited without a special filming permit, which is granted by the festival organization on a case-by-case basis through accreditation.<\/p>

System cameras and comparable filming equipment need a separate filming permit.<\/p>

All recordings are made in accordance with the Copyright Act and regulations. Taking normal photos to add festival memories with a mobile phone and paperback is allowed and recommended.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
